Fitness software is dominating the post-Xmas video game charts with dance or fitness games monopolizing sales as part of a post Xmas health drive by many consumers.

In the UK individual format charts for 14 January, Nintendo Wii titles for Just Dance 3, Zumba Fitness and Zumba Fitness 2 all took the top three spots.

Compounding the healthy video games surge, the game with the highest increase in sales was Ubisoft’s Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 for Microsoft’s Kinect.

The title that utilises Microsoft Xbox video game console experienced a mammoth 173 per cent boost on the back of new-in store promotions. Your Shape rose to the number 12 place in the multiform at chart.
